The orthopaedic department at the Bombay Hospital is widely considered to be among the very best in India. Successfully treating patients ranging from the newborn to the elderly. In addition, seven isolation cubicles with piped oxygen and suction facility and attached toilet for exclusive use for post-operative care of kidney transplant cases have also been commissioned. This facility is the first of its type in a private hospital in Bombay. Dr. D. D. Gaur, Honorary Consultant in Urology, has been working on a novel and exciting mode of Urological Surgery - Retroperitoneoscope - and has developed a number of special instruments. He has presented his experience at various conferences including a conference in U.S.A. where his contribution in the field of Urology was internationally acclaimed.
